• Prompts: The text prompts you submit to AI chat services
• Timestamps: When each prompt was captured
• Source URLs: Which AI service the prompt was used on (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude)
• Tags: Any tags you manually add to organize your prompts

2. How We Store Your Data

All data is stored using Chrome's local storage API (chrome.storage.local):

• Data remains exclusively on your device
• No cloud synchronization
• No remote servers involved
• Data persists until you uninstall the extension or clear browser data

3. What We Don't Do

PromptCase does NOT:

• ❌ Transmit any data to external servers
• ❌ Collect personal information (name, email, etc.)
• ❌ Use analytics or tracking tools
• ❌ Share your data with third parties
• ❌ Sell your data
• ❌ Use cookies for tracking
• ❌ Monitor your browsing activity beyond supported AI services

4. Permissions Explained

PromptCase requests the following permissions:

Storage Permission

Why: To save your prompts locally on your device so you can access them later.

Scope: Only stores prompt data you create while using AI chat services.

Active Tab Permission

Why: To detect when you submit a prompt on supported AI services.

Scope: Only active when you're on supported AI service websites.

Host Permissions

Why: To capture prompts on specific AI service websites.

Scope: Limited to these domains only:

• chat.openai.com, chatgpt.com (ChatGPT)
• claude.ai (Claude)
• gemini.google.com (Google Gemini)
• copilot.microsoft.com (Microsoft Copilot)
• you.com (You.com)
• perplexity.ai (Perplexity AI)

5. Data Export and Deletion

Your Data, Your Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Export: Download all your prompts as a JSON file at any time
• Delete Individual Prompts: Remove any prompt by clicking the delete button
• Delete All Data: Uninstall the extension or clear browser extension data

6. Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Data security depends on your device's security
• No transmission means no interception risk
• We recommend using device encryption and secure passwords

7. Third-Party Services

PromptCase interacts with AI service websites (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) only to capture the prompts you type. We do not control or have access to:

• The AI service's privacy policies
• How they handle your prompts
• Their data collection practices

Please review the privacy policies of the AI services you use.

8. Children's Privacy

PromptCase does not knowingly collect information from children under 18. The extension is designed for general use and does not require any personal information.

9. Code Transparency

PromptCase is built with privacy and security in mind:

• All code follows Chrome Web Store security guidelines
• No external dependencies or third-party libraries for core functionality
• Minimal permissions requested
• Regular security reviews and updates

10. Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top
• Post the new policy on this page
• Notify users through extension updates when applicable
